Zhenzhen Ma paints women in states of observation, rest, longing and imagination. Her work begins with small, easily overlooked moments drawn from everyday life, memory and personal experience, which she rebuilds through simplified figures, animals and half-remembered scenes. What emerges is a painting practice concerned with tenderness, desire and self-reflection — the private worlds carried quietly alongside daily life.
