Jordin Alanis

Jordin Alanis creates paintings that are inspired by dreamlike parallel worlds. She depicts compositions with sister species; rendering a world where this world and the other meet and co-existCreating themes of metamorphosis and dreamlike she fabricates these otherworldly representations with the use of vivid color and personal symbolism. She finds inspiration from her natural surroundings and traditional folk stories from her childhood in Mexico. By storytelling through the painting she creates windows to these other worlds. Jordin Alanis is a painter born in Acambaro, Mex. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee in 2019. She is currently working and painting in Brooklyn, NY.
